Who I Am, and How I Got Here
Some people love designing events—the look, the style, the ambiance.
I’ve always loved making events work—the tasks, the timelines, the details.
For over 20 years, I’ve managed the operational side of complex events—timelines, vendor coordination, production details, and planning structures that allow an event to unfold exactly as intended.
Through my work with AG Event Strategies, LLC., the event planning company I founded, I led in-person event planning and logistics for a wide range of clients and event types. During that time, I noticed something important: many clients don’t actually need a traditional event planner. What they need is someone who can step into the planning process, organize the moving pieces, and guide the event with calm expertise.
That realization led to the creation of The Final Detail Studio—a more focused, refined approach to event support designed for clients who want structure, clarity, and expert oversight without full-service planning.
Through remote event project management and strategic planning support, I partner with clients worldwide who want their events thoughtfully organized long before guests arrive.
My name is Amira Garner. I got my start in the event industry as a college student, working in my university’s Event and Conference Services department. I realized early on that I could build a career doing something I truly love. From intimate campus events to large-scale conferences, I discovered that turning complex planning into smooth, seamless experiences was exactly what I wanted to do every day.
Over the years, I’ve supported a wide variety of events—from intimate dinners to city-wide national conferences—gaining deep experience across the industry. To ensure my clients benefit from the latest practices and standards, I’ve invested heavily in professional development. I hold a Master’s degree in Meeting and Event Management and am a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), the industry’s highest standard, as well as a Digital Event Strategist (DES).
When I’m not planning events, you’ll find me volunteering with various organizations, enjoying dinner parties with friends, listening to audiobooks, and currently obsessing over all things Bridgerton. I’m personable and laid-back, but always a consummate professional, focused on how I can best support my clients.
